Grateful Dead

Bob Weir

Bob Weir has played rhythm guitar in the Grateful Dead and its successors since he was a teenager, and the role he invented, a rhythm part that behaves like a second lead, is one of the genuinely original ideas in American rock guitar. He continues to tour with Dead & Company.

The studio finished a D'Angelico Bedford for him. It is a hollow-body in a catalog otherwise full of superstrats, and it sits in the roster as evidence that the shop's work is not tied to one instrument or one genre.

The players on this page own or were given a Bonvillain piece. They are not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Bonvillain Design Studio, and their appearance here is not an endorsement of the studio.
